Andrea Misiano, reverse mortgage counselor from the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle will discuss and explore the general concepts of a reverse mortgage. Some topics to be covered are breaking down reverse mortgage myths, variable rates vs. fixed rates, how much can you borrow, what differs between lenders, borrower’s rights and responsibilities, and how are my kids affected.

Through Andrea’s career in the banking and financial world, she found a real love for helping people understand their financial rights and responsibilities. Working with seniors has been especially rewarding. Her many years as a collector, lender, credit and bankruptcy counselor, enabled her to educate clients in a more a well-rounded way. Andrea has been a reverse mortgage counselor for the past 13 years. She always keeps in mind that this type of loan is not for everyone and most importantly, there needs to be a balance between a client’s financial and emotional goals.
