Indigenous Peoples Day is a national holiday. Both Aging and Disability Services offices are closed this day.
Indigenous Peoples Day 2023: Honoring Our Elders Past and Present
Three events—join any or all!
- Celebratory March: 9:30–11:30 a.m. at Westlake Park (400 Pine St, Seattle). Bring your drums and tribal flags.
- City of Seattle Native American Affinity Group: 12:00 noon–1:30 p.m. at Seattle City Hall (600 4th Ave, Seattle).
- Dinner and Celebration: 5–9 p.m. at Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center (5011 Bernie Whitebear Way, Seattle)
Spread the word—invite family, friends, colleagues, etc., who may be interested in attending. There will be drumming, singing, dance groups, food, youth speaker, Keynote Speaker Donny Stevenson and the Mayor’s Office and City Council joint signing of the Indigenous Peoples’ Day Proclamation will also be presented.
