Join us for a program on universal design and hear from an accessibility specialist. Registration is required.

Our universal design program is the third in a series of three programs about housing options that promote aging in place. What is universal design? How do we look at accessibility in our living spaces as we consider our current and future needs? Barry Long, a local accessibility focused realtor, will describe some of the most common examples of universal design in housing and suggest ways for you to evaluate your current home.

Long is a real estate agent for Marketplace Sotheby’s International Realty and the co-founder of Able Environments, an accessibility focused real estate company. Long has been an accessibility specialist for the Washington State Building Code Council, spent eight years on the Governors Committee on Disability Employment & Issues, and is currently an Accessibility Consultant for the City of Woodinville.

This event will have Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) captioning.
