Join the Breaking White Silence Book Group on Wednesdays, May 3-17, to participate in a new Phinney Neighborhood Association project, which is intended to create several anti-racist consciousness raising groups throughout our community, including one at the Greenwood Senior Center. As a starting place, the group will use Robin DiAngelo’s book, What It Means to be White, Developing White Racial Literacy. Using Dr. DiAngelo’s text and encouraging personal reflection and conversation, these book groups are a first step to open up discussion about whiteness, white privilege and racism.
For more information about this project or to RSVP, call 206-297-0875.
