Aging is our future. You can help make our region a better place to grow up and grow old by reviewing and commenting on the draft 2027- 2030 Area Plan for Seattle and King County.  Our draft is the result of more than a year of discovery, discussion and feedback. The draft plan includes community-informed priorities like expanding dementia support programming, adding options for carry-out or “grab and go” meals, and preserving local gathering spaces that help people stay socially connected. 

Starting July 13, 2026, community members can visit AgingKingCounty.gov to review the draft and add your comments. The public comment period runs through Aug. 17, 2026. 

This hearing is open to the public. Individuals can attend in person or remotely.
