Even though COVID has been with us for a long-time, questions always arise.  How is this booster different than those in the past?  Do I really need a booster? What steps can my family take to stay safe over the holiday season? And, more.

To help Washingtonians get the answers they need, AARP is hosting a telephone town hall on Thursday, November 10, with:

  • Ingrid Ulrey, Regional Director, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Region 10 (WA, OR, ID, AK)
  • Dr. Tao Sheng Kwan-Gett, Chief Science Officer with WA Department of Health
  • Moderated by AARP State Director Marguerite Ro

This live Q&A event will give listeners an opportunity to get the latest information, plus ask their own questions of our panelists.

Participants can register in advance at AARP COVID Telephone Town Hall, or call in toll-free on the day of the event at 855-962-1240. The call will also be live streamed on the AARP Washington Facebook page at  The event is free and open to the public.  You do not need to be an AARP member to participate.

Register in advance at, or dial toll-free 855-962-1240 on November 10 at 9:45am (PT)
