Cheer on Seattle Sounders FC at Inaugural Age-Friendly Match

AARP and Age Friendly Seattle are teaming up to host the first-ever Age Friendly Day at the Sounders on Sunday, Sept. 15. Doors open at 11 a.m. The match begins at 12:30 p.m.

This is the beginning of our age-friendly partnership with Seattle Sounders FC, one of the most successful teams in Major League Soccer and a leader in the community. The Sounders take pride in their commitment to inclusion, sustainability, and more.

On Sept. 15, Seattle Sounders FC will take on the New York Red Bulls in a regular season match at CenturyLink Field (800 Occidental Ave S, Seattle). New York is Seattle’s rival on the soccer field but both NYC and the State of NY are members of the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities.

Seattle joined the AARP Network in 2016. The City of Seattle initiative has produced plans to improve housing, transportation, civic participation and employment, community and health services, outdoor spaces and buildings, social participation, respect and inclusion, and communication and information.

This special event takes aim at increasing social participation by bringing out AARP members and their guests to cheer on a regional favorite, Seattle Sounders FC. Enjoy views of the game and the Seattle skyline and find out what AARP, Age Friendly Seattle, and the Sounders are doing in your community.

Fans can get tickets at a discounted price of $30 each (up to 19 tickets per buyer), which includes a $10 food voucher and exclusive access to the Toyota Fan Deck. AARP Members and their guests will also receive a special giveaway.

Purchase your tickets online at groupmatics.events/event/Age by September 14 at 11:30 a.m.

Note: This is not an AARP or City of Seattle event. Any information you provide to the host organization will be governed by its privacy policy.
