Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program
The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) provides checks for eligible seniors to use at Farmers Markets throughout King County. Applications for the 2012 season are now available (see below). Completed applications must be submitted by mail and postmarked by Monday, June 4, 2012. For a printable flyer, click here.
Eligible applicants must be:
- 60 years old or older (or 55+ for American Indian/Alaska Native), AND
- Low-income (below 185% of Federal Poverty Level*)
Because of the limited number available, checks are distributed by a random selection process among the total applications received. All applicants will receive a letter by early July informing them of their status.

*for eligibliltiy in 2012, 185% of Federal Poverty Level is equal to:
- $20,665 annual income or $1,723 monthly for 1 person
- $27,991 annual income or $2,333 monthly for 2 people
- For larger households, add $611 per month for each additional person
