What does it mean to be in the Sandwich Generation? It’s that challenging time families face when they are caring for both their children and their parents. Much like a sandwich they are pressed hard for time, money and resources.

Join Washingtonians for a Responsible Future in a special community screening of the documentary, “The Sandwich Generation.” Washingtonians for a Responsible Future is a statewide coalition of aging and disability advocates that includes AARP, Alzheimer’s Association, Washington Association of Area Agencies on Aging, and many more. Through this film, viewers will explore what it means to be in the sandwich generation, and what communities can do to prepare for the age wave.

After the screening, viewers can listen to a panel discussion with local leaders in the field of aging and give you a behind-the-scenes look into what makes the aging services network work. Presenters will also talk about the innovative new bipartisan Long-Term Care Trust Act and what a $100/day benefit could mean for Issaquah.
