United Way Hunger Forum: A Community Discussion

Join United Way of King County and leaders of area nonprofits, funders, governments and companies for a community conversation about our region's increasing hunger problem. Discover what's contributing to the increasing scarcity of nutritious affordable food, and who is being affected. Then help to strategize a coordinated and effective community response. 2008 Washington State Oral Health System Forum

The forum will explore successful approaches in linking special populations, including seniors, with needed oral health services. Who should attend: Those involved in making local dental referrals for children with special needs, HIV/AIDS clients, and seniors. These include: dental and medical providers, case managers, local coordinators, insurers, patients and their families, community leaders, etc. Objectives: Expand and strengthen local referral networks, share successful stories, and use collective knowledge to find innovative solutions. No registration fee, lunch provided, RSVP needed.

The Mayor's Office for Senior Citizens Coffee Hours bring community elders closer to City officials, providing elders an opportunity to learn more about City programs and services and officials an opportunity to hear from elders. Coffee and cookies are served.
