Meetings & Events

The Advisory Council meets on the 2nd Friday of every month from Noon to 2:00 p.m., often in the Seattle Municipal Tower, Room 4060 but sometimes in community locations.

Advisory Council meetings are open to the public. All meetings are ADA accessible. Contact ADS planner Gigi Meinig (Gigi.Meinig@seattle.gov or 206-684-0652) if you need an additional accommodation.

Age Wave Candidates Forum - Snohomish County
Location: Carl Gipson Senior Center. 3026 Lombard Avenue, Everett
Time: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
AARP Washington, Washington Association of Area Agencies on Aging, the Washington State Senior Citizens’ Lobby, and other aging organizations—including the Bellevue Network on Aging, and Kirkland Senior Council, and Seattle-King County Advisory Council on Aging & Disability Services—are hosting a series of candidate forums. They are occurring statewide. Plan to attend a forum near you.

Note: We include this Snohomish County forum because the 1st and 32nd Legislative Districts span parts of north King County.

Age Wave Candidates Forum - South King County
Location: Auburn Community Center & the REC Teen Center, Les Gove Park, 910 9th Street SE, Auburn
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
 The AARP Washington, Washington Association of Area Agencies on Aging, the Washington State Senior Citizens’ Lobby, and other aging organizations—including the Bellevue Network on Aging, and Kirkland Senior Council, and Seattle-King County Advisory Council on Aging & Disability Services—are hosting a series of candidate forums. They are occurring statewide. 

At the Auburn forum, hear perspectives of state legislative candidates from the:
  • 5th District (Issaquah, Carnation, Snoqualmie, North Bend, Maple Valley)
  • 30th District  (Federal Way, SW King County)
  • 31st District (Enumclaw, SE King County, NE Tacoma)
  • 33rd District (Kent, SeaTac, Des Moines, Normandy Park)
  • 47th District (Auburn, Covington, South Central King County)
